Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah supports INJAZ

As the regional ambassador for INJAZ, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah has been involved in a number of INJAZ programs. From teaching one of the INJAZ courses, to participating in several student discussions and debates, and launching major initiatives, Her Majesty has been an active INJAZ partner.

Queen Rania patronizes

  • Under Her Majesty's patronage, INJAZ registered as a private organization in 2001.  Save the Children had pioneered INJAZ in 1999 with the goal of enhancing youth knowledge and awareness of the evolving world of work and building their skills to enter and succeed in the labor market.
  • In May 2006, Queen Rania patronized the launch of the INJAZ School Adoption Program.  The national program encourages private companies to adopt a school where they can oversee a series of activities and programs that aim at building the capacity of the students and improving the school's facilities and infrastructure, leading to the enhancement of the quality of education in public schools.

Queen Rania volunteers

  • In 2004, Queen Rania volunteered to teaching a class of ninth grade INJAZ students who gathered from Amman, Irbid, and Zarqa. The class discussed how a successful leader should possess and uphold the virtues of honesty, modesty, delegation of responsibility, and capitalize on experts in the field in order to bring about positive development.

Queen Rania debates

  • In 2005, Queen Rania participated in a regional debate with a group of INJAZ high school and university students. The debate focused on the role of youth in bridging cultures.
  • After the tragic bombings at three of Jordan's hotels on November 9, 2005, Queen Rania joined a group of high school girls in a candid discussion of their feelings and thoughts following the attacks.
